Together with the charity Justice au Coeur, SAMI members ran a Pi Day treasure hunt at the Lycee Francais Charles de Gaulle. Students paid to enter and were given a set of clues to solve and clues to discover around the school. Out of all the correct entries received, three winners were selected using a random number generator. They received £10pi, £7pi, and £5pi to spend in Paul.
At lunchtime on Pi Day maths teachers at the Lycee hosted a pi recital competition. Students from all year groups took part with great enthusiasm, and the winner managed 489 digits!
Thank you so much to Asmodee Games and Librarie la Page for their kind prize donations of games and puzzles. These activities raised a brilliant total of £688.43 for SAMI.
